MOMIN SAEED, CIFP, MBA, B.Comm - Vice President - Operations and Business Development
Momin Saeed joined the senior management of Zero Mortgage recently. Born and raised in Edmonton and actively involved in the community.
He is very passionate about Islamic Finance and moved to Malaysia and acquired the CIFP designation (Chartered Islamic Finance Professional) from INCEIF University--the leading University on Islamic Finance globally.He has an MBA from Queen's University; a B.Comm from the University of Alberta; and currently taking courses at Cornell University.
Momin also has an Islamic Finance consultancy, Abrahamic Finance, where he provides professional development seminars on Islamic Finance-- they have been hosted at various universities in Edmonton and Calgary. He also plans to hold them here in the GTA.
Momin also serves as the Executive Director of the: Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council (AMPAC) which is a non-profit, non-partisan Advocacy group advocating on behalf of Muslim community and comprising of many portfolios. In addition, he is actively involved in the Muslim Community of Edmonton in different facets and is actively a guest Khateeb at various masjids across Edmonton.
Awais Surahyo, MBA, CIM, CSC, FCSI - Real Estate Broker VP Realty Services and Zero Product Expert
Awais Surahyo is privileged to live in different countries which nurtured him a living and working with different ethnicities, backgrounds, and languages. He graduated with Honors from New Jersey, USA in B.Sc. Finance and Executive MBA from Dubai, and finally settled in the beautiful city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Through the course of his Canadian career he has also acquired CSC (Canadian Securities Course), CIM (Chartered Investment manager), FCSI (Fellow of CSI) and Mortgage Broker course. He enjoyed 16-year career in the Financial Sector involving insurance, investments, lending, real estate, and retail banking i.e. last position held in Senior Management at BMO Bank of Montreal.
A few years back due to a course of events inspired him to enter self-employment journey via real estate investing. He is always and learnt about Islamic Finance, actually one of the reasons for leaving banking is to have a richer life in real estate to avoid riba. He is active in his community (active part of RLP shelter Foundation and The Mississauga food Bank) and local Muslim community/Mosque.
His comfort level spans serving everyone from high-profile corporate clients to individuals and families looking to find their perfect home. In his spare time he enjoys family time especially with his 2 children, reading, volunteering, and writing articles on LinkedIn to benefit people in their lives and personal finances.

Sh. Nabil Khan - Canadian Islamic Scholar
Nabil Khan Graduated from Al-Ihsan institute in Vancouver studying Classical text and indepth Quran analysis under a senior teacher. He is a qualified Islamic Scholar. He has traveled overseas for part of his Islamic studies to Bury, UK. He has studied and remains in contact with many senior scholars. He was born in Vancouver, British Colombia before moving to Edmonton, Alberta wherein he lived for 10 years prior to returning to Vancouver. After completing his high school education he has been studying Islam and familiarizing himself with the Canadian banking and real estate industry. He is a registered real estate agent and fully aware of the Canadian housing market. He has been monitoring the growth of Islamic finance in Canada and met many organization and individuals. He is currently a teacher at a school in British Columbia and Imam for British Columbia Muslim Association (BCMA).
Mufti Ismail Ebrahim Desai, Shariah Officer
Mufti Ismail Ebrahim Desai is an internationally reputed Shariah scholar and Islamic finance expert who is a Shariah Advisor and member of Infinity's Shariah Supervisory Board. He currently serves as Shariah Advisor to various Islamic financial institutions and educational institutes around the world including Ideal Ratings, Southern African Consultant, Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance, Centre for Advanced Islamic Economics, Jenuard Holdings AG, Al-Mabroor Investments besides other Islamic investment firms and real estate funds around the world. Mufti Ismail has developed various Shariah auditing, governance and risk management standards for Islamic financial institutions and has issued several hundred expert legal opinions (fatwas) with a special focus on Islamic finance and economics. Mufti Ismail holds a Master's in Islamic Finance and a Master's in Islamic Theology from the Institute of Islamic Jurisprudence, Durban, South Africa.
Soheib Ghizali, Vice President
An MBA graduate from Marquette University – Wisconsin, Soheib brings in 20 years of progressive expertise in all facets of mortgage industry within fast paced, high-profile Islamic banks, financial institutions and real estate developers across UAE. He has worked with Dubai Islamic Bank and Dubai Financial Market, before joining in Zero Mortgage Canada.
Abdul Haq Ingar, Senior Advisor and Community Liaison
Abdul Haq Ingar has worked in various senior positions for over 30 years, working with companies such as Rogers Wireless. He was a long-time advisor for the Liberal Party as well as a past candidate for Toronto City council. He was a past president for one of Toronto’s largest Mosques. He is an established community leader, liaising with all levels of government, acting as a regular spokesperson on community issues, and as coordinator and senior member for many community non-profit organizations. He was one of 12 Imams and community leaders that were invited to meet with former PM Paul Martin when over 170 Imams signed a ruling (Fatwa) denouncing terrorism. He has co-hosted events for visiting Islamic scholars such as Mufti Rafi Usmani, Mufti Zubair Usmani, Shaykh Suleman Nadwi, and others. He supports the development of Islamic finance in Canada. To help further the development of Islamic finance in Canada, he hosted an Islamic finance evening at the mosque he was president of, inviting over 30 Canadian Imams to meet with visiting international senior Islamic scholars such as Shaykh Nizam Yaquby, Dr. Aznan Hassan, and Mufti Barkatullah.
